Prize Winners Announced

January 6, 2010, Americus, GA – For the past three months drag racers and motorcycle enthusiasts have had the opportunity to win some great prizes during the “Buy A Shirt – Win A School” promotion sponsored by Star Racing.  For as little as $10, entrants qualified to win prizes valued up to $2,500.  “Boots,” the Star shop dog chose the winning entries on December 31st – click here to watch the video.

The third prize winner of a $250 gift certificate for Star Racing parts or machine shop work is Willie Jones from North Carolina.  Willie competes in the SEMDRA drag racing series on a Kawasaki motorcycle and entered the drawing at the October race in Valdosta.

The second prize winner of a $500 Star Racing gift certificate is Tom Tinndahn of Denmark.  Tom is the 2007 European Champion and the owner of a Star Racing, S&S powered Pro Stock V-Twin.  During a November trip to the states, Tom visited Star and picked up a few parts for his motorcycle which qualified him for the drawing. 

Grand prize winner of the FREE Frank Hawley Pro Stock Motorcycle School valued at $2,500 is Mike Lingo from Alabama.  Mike competes in the AMA Dragbike and SEMDRA series on a Hayabusa and called in an order to the Star parts warehouse in December.  When notified that he had won, Mike said, “Wow, I still can’t believe it. Tell Boots I owe him a huge chew bone.”
