Semi Final Round: Fred Collis (Foul) def. by Michael Phillips (7.127)
NOTES AND QUOTES: With rain in the air again for the second time racing at Maple Grove raceway, NHRA was able to get in one round of qualifying for all the professional categories. Fred Collis aboard his Star Racing/Snap On Tools Suzuki was able to make the one and only qualifying run take him to the #1 spot with a 7.117 elapsed time.
Ken Johnson: “Fred is going to do better at Vegas, I can just feel it.”
Fred Collis: “The tree has been a big thorn in my side this season. In the semi’s, I just took off before I saw the ambers and then missed my shift points. The good thing is we made it to the semi’s and earned a few more points. The bike was flawless all weekend thanks to the gang at Star Racing. I want to especially thank Bamond Bros. Racing again for their help.”
