Star Racing dominates in European Pro Stock UEM Championship

HOCKENHEIM, Germany - George Bryce and Star Racing are making headlines in the European Pro Stock UEM Championship through their involvement with this year’s champion team, Sovereign Racing. Sovereign has not only won every race completed with their two Star Racing-prepared, S&S powered American V-twins, but the team has also set track recordsand helped the sport to grow in Europe as the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class enjoys an increase in 2011 participation.

Star Racing owner George Bryce and technician Bobby Webb traveled throughout Europe aspart of the Sovereign Racing team. Shown above are two of the Sovereign riders, Rasmus Olesen and Jesper Jensen, at the NitrOlympX competition in Hockenheim, Germany.

Sovereign, the self-titled first Pro Stock team from Hungary, is made up of racers Rasmus Olesen and Jesper Jensen and their crews.

The team has won every race completed in 2011 so far, despite several rain-outs along the way. Their final race will be at the Santa Pod Raceway, United Kingdom on Sept. 8-11.

Bryce initially began working with Sovereign Racing after the team’s owner and two riders attended the Frank Hawley NHRA Drag Racing School in Gainesville, Fla., that Bryce teaches periodically throughout the year. The Sovereign team later visited Americus, Ga., where Star Racing is located, and had a private coaching session with Bryce at the South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Ga.

Bryce and Webb were later asked to join the team in Europe to assist them during the racing season. Following competitive runs in Hungary, England, Sweden, Finland and Norway, Olesen and Jensen returned this past weekend to take spots in the top three at NitrOlympX in Hockenheim, Germany.
