RACING IS IN OUR DNA
George and Jackie Bryce founded Star Racing in 1980. What started as a small mom-and-pop shop grew into one of the most decorated teams in NHRA history.
George didn't just run the business from the sidelines. He raced, wrenched, and crew-chiefed — accumulating a depth of real-world engine knowledge that no textbook or classroom could replicate.
For years, George served as head instructor for Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School motorcycle program, passing hard-won expertise on to the next generation. He continues that tradition today through his popular Tech Talk series and engine-building schools held throughout the year — because teaching forces you to understand performance at a fundamental level.
In 2017, Star Racing pivoted to high-performance cam and parts development, bringing championship-grade engineering to everyday Milwaukee-Eight and Twin Cam Harley-Davidsons. Decades of race-winning engine knowledge are now built into every cam and accessory that leaves the shop.
